Samsung Poland Research & Development Center (SPRC) was created in Poland by Samsung Electronics in 2000.
Initially the main task of the R&D Center was development of software for digital satellite, cable and ground TV compliant with Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard. The success of the Polish entity induced Samsung management board to create additional department dealing with software development for the most advanced LCD TV sets. It was created in 2005 after moving to the new location. Until 2007 the R&D Center was dealing only with developing STB and Digital TV's software. Since the opening of a new Mobile Lab in June this year we also develop, customize and test for mobile phone's softwares.

The R&D Center in Warsaw lives up to the expectations and is the basis for the development and planned expansion on the markets of Europe. Location of the Samsung R&D Center in Central Europe enables direct contact with the customers and quick reaction to their needs. Employing nearly 400 Polish engineers who are experts in digital technology and use of advanced technology provides high quality of products and respect for Polish scientific thought on the European Market.
